Students’ Ability in Identifying Independent and Dependent Clause in Sentence

Abstract

This study deals with students’ ability in identifyiing independent and dependent clause in sentence. The objective of the study is to investigate that the students’ ability in identifying independent and dependent clause in sentence. This research will be conducted at SMK Tritech Informatika on class XII. The school is located at Street Bhayangkara No. 484, Indra Kasih, Medan Tembung, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara. The research will be conducted the action in the second semester in the academic years of 2017/2018. The findings show that the table of the students ability in identifying independent and dependent clause in sentence shows that on 17 students or 70.83 categorized as “able”. there were 7 students or 29.17% categorized as “unable”. it means that students at SMK Tritech Informatika were able in identifying independent and dependent clause in sentence.
