dc.description.abstract The study deals in the experiential function analysis on political speech of Indonesian president candidate 2019. The purpose of this study is to find out the types of experience functions found in the 2019 presidential speech in political speeches to identify functions that often arise on political speech of Indonesian president candidates 2019. Descriptive qualitative research was applied in this study. The research data was taken from the 2019 presidential candidate‟s speech, 103 clauses of Joko Widodo and 61 clauses of Prabowo. The data was analyzed by identifying the speech into three types of process, classifying the clauses in each type of experiential function, analyzing the data into the experiential functions, calculating the type of experiential function most frequently used in the speech of Indonesian presidential candidate 2019. It was found that the material process is 86 ( 52.43 %), then followed by the mental process with the percentage is 50 ( 30.48 %), and the relational process with the percentage is 28 ( 17.73 %). And the most dominant type of the experiential function used in the speech of the 2019 presidential candidate was material process 86 or ( 52.43 %). en_US
