dc.description.abstract This research was aimed at improving the students’ reading skill by using Question Answer Relationship Strategy. Thus research answered one question, how Question Answer Relationship (QAR) Strategy improve students’ reading skill at the X grade of SMA YPK Medan in the academic year of 2019/2020. The research design of this study was classroom action research. It was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. From the study, the researcher could conclude that the implementation of Question Answer Relationship Strategy could improve from cycle I to cycle II. The enhancement of the study was showed when the researcher conducted cycle II. The result of the analysis showed that the mean of the pre-test was 52,69, the mean of cycle I 63,46, and the mean of cycle II 77,30. The percentage of the students who got 70 were also growing up. In the pre-test, the students who got 70 were only 5 out of 26 students (19,23%). In the post-test I of cycle I, the students who got 70 were 12 out of 26 students (80,76%). The improvementt was 61%. From the data, it indicate that the implementation of Question Answer Relationship Strategies was effective and from the data above it could be concluded that the students, skill in reading comprehension have been developed by using Question Answer Relationship Strategy. en_US
