The objectives of this research was to find out the effect of using 3H (Here,
Hidden and in my Head) on the students’ achievement in reading analytical
exposition text. This was an experimental research which conducted at SMA
Harapan Mekar which was located at Jl.Marelan Raya No.77 Kelurahan Rengas
Pulau Kecamatan Medan Marelan. The population of this research was the XI
grade students of 2019/2020 academic year which consisted of 60 students. By
using total sampling technique, the total sample was 60 students. The sample of
this research was all of the population. The sample was divided into two groups,
class XI − IPA as the experimental group and XI − IPS as the control group. The
experimental group was taught by using 3H (Here, Hidden and in my Head)
strategy and the control group was taught by using conventional method.
Experimental quantitative method was applied in this research. In order to collect
the data, the researcher was chosen multiple choice test consisted of 20 items were
administrated to the student, the result showed that tobserve was higher than
ttable (2.76>1.672), at ∝=0.05 and df= 58. It meant that Ha was accepted. There
was a significant effect of using 3H (Here, Hidden and in my Head) strategy. |
