Concentration at TK ABA Melati 09 Medan Mandala. The research employed a
qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects were classroom
teachers and the principal, with data collected through observation, interviews,
and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers applied several strategies
to overcome children’s low concentration. First, during the planning stage,
teachers prepared engaging learning media such as spinners, educational games,
and various teaching methods. Second, during the implementation stage, teachers
created a conducive classroom environment, provided personal approaches to
children struggling with focus, and gave motivation through enjoyable activities.
Third, in the evaluation stage, teachers assessed children’s improvement in
attention and behavior through continuous observation and conducted reflection
with the principal to enhance the effectiveness of the strategies. The causes of
children’s lack of concentration included an unconducive learning environment,
the influence of gadget use at home, and differences in children’s characteristics.
The teacher’s role was crucial in creating a comfortable, interactive, and
enjoyable classroom atmosphere to help children stay focused. Thus, appropriate
teaching strategies can significantly improve children’s concentration and
engagement in learning. |
