DIAGNOSING HATE SPEECH ACT AGAINST VLADIMIR PUTIN IN SOCIAL MEDIA TWITTER

Abstract

This research discussed the study of linguistics in diagnosing hate speech against Vladimir Putin in Social Media Twitter. The method research applied in this research was qualitative method. The research objective were; To describe type of hate speech of netizen’s comment against Vladimir Putin On social media twitter and to describe type of illocutionary act of speech act of netizen’s comment against Vladimir Putin on social media twitter. The sources of data was taken from social media twitter. the data were analysed and categorized based on the type of hate speech and type of illocutionary act. the findings from this source were 58 hate comment, which consist of the type of hate speech, which consist of 4 provoking, 7 inciting, 4 spread hoax, 3 unpleasant action, 8 insulting, 1 defamation, 2 denigration. The researcher finding 12 assertive, 6 directive, 5 expressive, 2 declarative, and 4 commissive.
