dc.description.abstract This study aimed to find out the significant increase of using Flipped Classroom method on the students' reading comprehension in narrative text by using fairy story video as a media. This research was conducted at SMPN 4 Satu Atap Panai Hulu, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu in the academic year 2021/2022. This study is quantitative and was conducted using an true-experimental research design. The subject of research were consisted of 45 students of the second grade at SMPN 4 Satu Atap Panai Hulu, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu were taken by using Random Sampling Technique, then divided in two groups. Class VIII A which consist of 23 students as Experimental group taught by using Flipped Classroom method and class VIII B which consist of 22 students as Control group taught by using conventional method. The data was collected by using pre-test and post-test and than were analyzed by using t-test formula in the SPSS version 16 application. The result showed that the level of significance was 0.000 < 0.05 and the difference between the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental classes was 77.64 and 85.52. In accordance with the results of the analysis, the Ha (alternative hypothesis) was approved and the (null hypothesis) was disproved. Therefore, result of this study was found that there is a significant increase on the students‟ reading comprehension in narrative text by using flipped classroom method at SMPN 04 Satu Atap Panai Hulu and flipped classroom method is more effective than conventional method. en_US
