Abstract:
The growth and development of regionel cities has implications for the increasing
needs of the population, a significant increase in economic growth can affect the
pattern of development of the land use road which is one of the city centers than
has quite high activity, with road performance conditions being slightly affected
by some irregular public activities, such as non-permanent trading businesses,
narrow paking lots, increased violations bg road users and side barriers such as
sluggish vehicle, the vehicle goes in and out of the side of the road si than it can
affect the performance road of Kebayakan as one of themain access than connects
between the city center. This research is expected to be a reference or
consideration for the takengon sity government. Aceh district is talking the policy
on the road, so that there will be no congestion which will increasingly worsen
and harm the road users. This research was conducted on Kebayakan road to the
Takengon city of central Aceh, the research was conducted at the peak hour,that
is morning (07.00 – 09.00), afternoon (12.00 – 14.00), evening (17.00 – 19.00),
for 7 days is Monday to Friday for weekdays and Saturdays for holidays.the
method used in this study is the calculation of traffic from fleld data using (MKJI
1997) from the survey results obtained values Ds (Jl. HM Hasan Gayo – Jl. Mess
Time Ruang) : 0.88 smp/hour with the level of service.
