Abstract:
The objective of this research was to find out significant effect of blended
approach model to the students’ reading achievement. The population of this
research was the second year students of SMP Tarbiyah Islamiyah 2016/2017
academic year. The population was 35 students in VIII-A and 35 students in VIIIC.
So,the
total
population
was 70
students.
The
research
was
taken
all
as
the
sample.
The
sample
was
divided
into
two
groups,the
firs
group
namely
experimental
group
which
consists of 35
students
was
taught
by
using
Language
Experience
Approach
and
the
second
group
namely
control
group
which
consists
of 35
students
was
taught
by
using
conventional
method.
The
instrument of
the
research
was
multiple
choices of 20
items.
This
research
was
based on
experimental
group
to
collect
the
data
that
use
to
describe
and
analyse
the
data
from
the
students’
answer.
After
the
data
has
been
collected,they
were
analysed
by
using
t-test
formula.
The
result
of
analysis
showed
that
t-observed
(6.2921)
was
higher
than
t-table
(2.024)
with
the
levelof
significant 0.05
and
the
degree of
freedom (df)
= 70.
The
finding
showed
that
the
hypothesis of
study
is
accepted.
It
means
that
using
Language
Experience
Approach
given
significant
effectto
the
students
reading
achievement
