Abstract:
This study deals with the study of The Effect of Picture Word Inducted
Model (PWIM) on Students Writing Short Stories Based on Illustration Idol.
The objectives of this study were to investigate the significant effect of
applying PWIM (Picture Word Inducted Model) on the students’ writing
stories based on illustration idol and to describe the sudents’ difficulties in
writing short stories based on illustration idol. Quantitative method was used in
this research. Instrument of the data were used pre-test, trearment and post-test.
The data were analyzed in some steps, read the students’ answer sheet, correct
the students’ sentences sheet, scoring the students’ answer sheet, tabulating the
students’ score in pre-test and post-test.
The mean score of the students on the writing short stories test in pre-test was
68, 87. It is the students’ score before the researcher used PWIM and the score
of post-test was 80, 08 in writing short stories based on illustration idol in
experimental group. The mean score of the students on the writing short stories
test in pre-test was 67, 62 it was 77, 76 in writing short stories in control group
also used lecturing method. From this resarch using PWIM (Picture Word
Inducted Model) gave significant effect on writing short stories based on
illustration idol and effective to students for eassier to writing short stories.
