Abstract:
The objective of this research was to find out the effect of applying Presentation
Practice Production (PPP) Approach on Students’ Writing Achievement. The
population of this research was the first grade students of SMA UISU Medan, Jl.
Bahrum Jamil, SH. Gg. UISU No. 2 Teladan Barat Medan, Kota Medan at
academic year 2017/2018 that population was 67 students in two classes: class XIPA
were

X-IPS

students,
the
research
taken
X-IPA
as
a
sample
with
the
total
samples
were
33
students.
This
research
was
applied
cluster
random
sampling.
This
research
used
experimental
research
design
namely
One
group
pre-test
and
post-test,
Therefore,
the
research
took
one
class
as
the
experimental
class.
The
researcher
was
given
treatment
by
Presentation
Practice
Production
(PPP)
Approach.
The
instrument
in
collecting
data
was
collected
by
using
writing
test.
The
data
were
analyzed
by
using
t-test
formula.
The
result
of
the
data
showed
that
t-observe
7.4>
t-table
2.040
with
degree
of
freedom
(df)
=
n-k.
The
hypothesis
was
accepted.
It
proves
that
Presentation
Practice
Production
(PPP)
Approach
significantly
effect
to
the
students’
achievement
on
the
students’
writing
achievement.
