Abstract:
The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of Guided Inquiry
model with E-learning Microsoft sway on the Students’ Achievement in writing
report text. This research was applied experimental research. The population of
this research was taken from the twelve grade from first semester students of
senior high school in SMK Tritech Informatika Medan in academic 2018/2019.
There were 2 classes consisting 40 students. This research was applied cluster
random sampling. This research used experimental research design namely one
group pre-test and post-test, Therefore, the research took one class as the
experimental class. The sample was taken from the students in XII PBS-2 who
consisted of 20 students. The researcher were given treatment by Guided Inquiry
model with e-learning microsoft sway. The instrument of collecting data was a
writing essay text about report text which consist of 150 words. The data were
analyzed by using t-test formula. The result of the data showed that tobserve 8.86 >
ttable 2.01 with degree of freedom (df) = n-k. The hypothesis was accepted. It
proves that Guided Inquiry Model with E-learning Microsoft Sway significantly
effect to the students’ achievement in writing
