Abstract:
The formulation of the problem in this study is to understand the influence
of the use of the debate method in instilling empathy that is easy to respect that is
beautiful and the influence of the debate method on student learning outcomes in
SMP Al-Hikmah Medan. Whereas the purpose of the study is to understand the
effectiveness and influence of the use of the debate method on student learning
outcomes in moral akidah subjects in school. This type of research is an
experiment and this research is included in the category of quantitative research.
This population was taken from 30 people and a sample of 30 students, this study
was conducted using several data collection techniques namely tests,
documentation and questionnaires. This study uses the Product Moment
correlation formula, "t" test, validity test and reliability formula to see the given
contribution between variables X and Y variables. After the data is collected then
calculated using the Product Moment correlation technique by obtaining the
following results: Produt Moment Tabal value of "r" Product Moment level of 5%
and 1% obtained that rxy = 0.368 is greater than rtable both level 5% (0.361) and
1% (0.463) with a comparison formulation of 0.383 ≥0.3361 and 0.463. Then it
can be concluded that there is a positive influence between the debating method
learning model on student learning outcomes in the moral akidah subjects in SMP
Al-Hikmah Medan.
