dc.description.abstract The objective of this study was to find out the significant effect of Read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) Strategy on Students’ Reading Recount Text Achievement. RCRR Strategy is a vehicle for increasing the knowledge and understanding of the participant in a collaborative context. The population of this study was the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Binjai at academic year 2018/2019. The populations were 220 students which distributed in seven classes VIII-1 until VIII-7. The sample of this study was VIII-4 and VIII-5, which was taken by random sampling technique and then was being as the experimental group, and being treated by using RCRR. The instrument in collecting the data was multiple choice test about recount text. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. The result of the analysis showed that t-observed was higher than t-table (2,002 < 3,13) with the level significant 0.05 and the degree of freedom (df) = 58. The finding showed that the hypothesis of study is accepted. It means that RCRR Strategy gave a significant effect on students’ reading recount text achievement. en_US
