This study investigated the effect of using personal computer assembling tutorial
video on students’ achievement in writing procedure text. It was conducted by using
experimental research design. The population of this study was grade XI IPS students
of SMA Swasta Bandung Medan. The sample was divided into two groups namely
experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught by using
personal computer assembling tutorial video, while the control group was taught by
using picture media. The instrument used to collect the data was writing procedure
text. After the data were analyzed, it was found that the value of t-observed was 18.10
with the degree of freedom (df) = 28 at the level of significant 0,05. It means that tobserved
was
higher
than
t-table
(18.10
>
1,701).
The
hypothesis
was
accepted.
It
means
that
there
is
significant

And
total
of
significant
effect
was

%
and
7.84%
