dc.description.abstract This research discusses about Code Mixing in Facebook. The objectives of this research are to find out 1) The types of code mixing, 2) The most dominant type of code mixing used, and 3) The reason of the dominantly used. The research on this thesis was carried by using descriptive qualitative. The data were taken from 32 post of the users facebook account. From the data were analyzed and classified into three types of code mixing in the procedures namely insertion, alternation and congruent lexicalization. There are 32 post of the facebook in five days. The findings indicated that there are Insertion (26 post, 81.25%), Alternation (4 post, 12.5 %), Congruent lexicalization (2 post, 6.25%). Insertion as the most dominant type of code mixing is used in Facebook, the way of the users to deliver the information or to the next researchers who want to know and research more about the same topic en_US
