dc.description.abstract The objective of this study was to find out the significant effect of applying partner reading strategy through e-book story on students’ reading ability of SMP Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai. This research was an experimental research. The instruments of this research were a multiple choice. The subject of the research was 58 students of the second grades of SMP Muhammadiyah 58 Sukaramai. This research had been conducted by applying Partner Reading Strategy to the experimental group, while control didn’t. The finding of experimental group on the pre-test the mean score was 35.17, while in the post-test the score was 66.20. The finding of control group on the pre-test the mean score was 20.34 and posttest the mean score was 25.51. The improvement also can be seen from the percentage of students’ achievement in reading ability of experimental group. All of students' on pre-test got score under 70, but post-test were 22 students' got score 70. It means the strategi was an improvement for students'. en_US
