Abstract: This study aims to design and build a free energy device as a source of electricity to support the performance of the alternator in the vehicle's electrical system. The methods used include designing the drive system, regulating synchronous speed, and analyzing the excitation voltage and current. The test results show that the alternator works optimally at a synchronous speed of 4000 RPM, which is needed to ensure stable output power. The induced voltage generated before the rectification process reaches 1539 V (star configuration), and after going through the rectifier, the output voltage becomes 14 V, according to the needs of the vehicle's electrical system. An excitation current of 7 A is needed to drive the rotor, with an electromagnetic torque of 2.44 Nm which is sufficient to maintain power stability without giving excessive mechanical load to the engine. In conclusion, the designed free energy system is able to provide stable electrical power and support the performance of the alternator continuously, making it a potential alternative to improve the efficiency of the vehicle's electrical system.
