An Analysis Code Mixing and Code Switching On Podcast Puella Id Channe

Abstract

The thesis entitled An Analysis Code Mixing and Code switching on Podcast Puella ID Channel, The purpose of this thesis is to find the types of code switching and code mixing contained in the speech Cinta Laura as presenter in Bicara Cinta and Habib Husein Jafar as a celebrity guest. Steps taken by the author in completing this thesis was watching a Youtube, then download a YouTube video, then listen the speech in the video over and over and transribe the utterance into a script whish is required as data, then the data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative method. Then the results of the analysis will be displayed and analyzed in terms of percentage based formula Bungin. The author take 38 data from the speech of Cinta Laura and Habib Husein Jafar. Analysis focused on three types of code mixing is insertion, alternation congruents lexicalization and three type of Code switching is tag switching, intra-sentential, inter-sentential. Results of the analysis revealed that there are 38 utterances which are code mixing and code switching . Results obtained percentage is 28 speech insertion of code mixing (84,75%), 5 utterances alternation of code mixing ( 15,15%) and 5 utterance tag switching of code switching (100%).
