dc.description.abstract This study focuses on analysing on Code Switching Used in Coronavirus Podcast by Dedy Corbuzier, using theory of code switching used by Romaine in Susanto (2008) and Hoffman (1992). The aims of this research are 1. To describe and analyzes the types of code switching and finding the most dominant of them, and 2. To describe the reasons for Dedy Corbuzier code switch his language in Coronavirus Podcast on Dedy‟s Youtube Channel. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The data are collected from the uttarances of Dedy Corbuzier as a host and Anies Baswedan as a interviewees. The result of this study shows that three types of code switching used by Dedy Corbuzier and Anies Baswedan on podcast : inter-sentential switching (23,53 %), intra-sentential switching (62,75 %), and tag switching (13,72 %). There are 5 reasons of Dedy Corbuzier and Anies Baswedan code switch their language : Talking particular topic (73,33 %), Showing empathy about something (11,11 %), Interjection (2,22 %), Repetition used for clarification (4,44%) and Intention of clarifying the speech content for the interlocutor 8,89 %). en_US
