dc.description.abstract The objectives of this study were 1) to find out the effect of using Student Created Case Studies Method in speaking and 2) to describe the percentage effect of using Student Created Case Studies method on the students’ speaking achievement. The population of this study was the classes of eleventh grade students at SMA Harapan Mekar Medan, they were 30 students, the sample were 30 students taken from population. The research design is an quantitative experimental research. The result of this study was calculated by the t-test formula, the value of tobserved compared to the ttable, tobserved>ttable (8.02>1.67). As the criteria of accepted and rejected hypothesis, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted by founding that tobserved=8.02. It means there is a significant effect of applying the Student Created Case Studies Method to the students’ speaking achievement. While, the percentage of the effect was 89%, it means that the influence of the effect was 89% and 11% was influenced by other factors. Thus, the students’ achievement in speaking using Student Created Case Studies Method was much suggested en_US
