dc.description.abstract | Background: One of the characteristics of a developing nation is a nation that has a level of health, intelligence, and high labor productivity it is influenced by the nutritional state. Efforts to meet the nutritional adequacy is to get a full breakfast. Breakfast was instrumental in 15-30% meet daily nutritional requirements. The breakfast should contain one of carbohydrates contained in food to produce energy. Objective: To determine the relationship of carbohydrates in the breakfast to the students FK UMSU concentration. Methods: The study was descriptive and analytical, while the study design used is cross sectional study. Results: The category energy intake is a category quite as many 20 people with energy 15002000kkal daily, carbohydrates intake with good concentration power in the group carbohydrates intake as much as 18 83.3 % of the data, the power of concentration either found as many as 32 people 52.46%. Chi-Square Analysis to determine the relationship of carbohydrate intake to the power of concentration was obtained p = 0.046 (p value <0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the intake of carbohydrates with the concentration. | en_US |
