dc.description.abstractThis study deals with Racism Discourse in the 12 Years a Slave Film Script. The data in this research was taken from 12 Years a Slave Film Script. Descriptive qualitative method was applied to analyze the data. Thus, in doing this research, library research was applied in analyzing the data. The objective of research were to find out the acts of racism and the most dominant in the 12 Years a Slave Film Script. From the data obtained, there were seven act found in 12 Years a Slave Film Script. They were segregation, redlining, genocide, prejudice, oppression, stereotyping and violence. Violence occurs 8 times, it is percentage (32%), as the second most often appearing phenomenon, there is Prejudice. It is number of occurrences is quite difference from the previous rank. It only appears 4 times with the percentage of (16%). After that Oppression, it occurs the same frequency from the previous rank. It only appears 4 times with the percentage of (16%). After that, the act of Genocide, Stereotyping, and Segregation have the same number of occurrences. Which is from the three act only appears 3 times with the percentage of (12%). And finally the last act of racism, which is Redlining did not frequency. Thus, The most dominant act of racism found violence was 8 act with the amount of (32%).en_US
