dc.description.abstractThis study deals with Formality Levels in Obama’s Interview and Jokowi’s Interview. The data in this research was taken from Obama and Jokowi’s Interview Script. The data was collected with documentary technique and the instrument used was documentary sheet. Thus, in doing this research, descriptive qualitative analysis was applied in analyzing the data. The objectives of research were to find out the types of formality levels and the most dominant in the Obama and Jokowi’s interview Script. From the data obtained, there were five types found in the Obama and Jokowi’s interview Script. They were Frozen, Formal, Consultative, Casual, and Intimate. The result of the research in Obama’s Interview, Frozen (0%), Formal (41,8%), Consultative (4,7%), Casual (53,5%), and Intimate (0%). And the result of the research in Jokowi’s interview is Frozen (4,54%), Formal (6,82%), Consultative (9,1%), Casual (79,54%), and Intimate (0%).en_US
