dc.description.abstractThis study deals with the analysis of versification on the poem New Hampshire by Robert Frost. The purpose of this study is to find out the types of poetic feet, and to find out the most dominant types of poetic feet in the poem. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected 8 poems from the poem “New Hampshire” by Robert Frost which was published on 1923. Based on the analysis it was found that there were four types of poetic feet occur in the poem. They were 24 (23%) dactylic, 62 (61%) iambic, 13 (13%) anapestic and 3 (3%) trochaic in the poem. The most dominant type of poetic feet in the poem is iambic with percentage 61%. If we read the novel “The Fault in Our Stars” by Jhon Green, there were many sentences that was idea or thought by saying one thing means another. Thus, the novel used non-literal meaning.en_US
