Abstract: This study deals with the analysis of Speech Act in Donald Trump’s Speech in The presidential Candidacy. The objectives of this study were to describe the types of speech act in Donald Trump’s Speech in The Presidential Candidacy. to realization types of speech act that found in Donald Trump’s Speech. to analyze reasons Donald Trump used speech act. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. Source of data was obtained from Transcription Donald Trump’s Speech, 100% of the 9 pages was taken as the sample of data. In collecting the data, the researcher Downloading Transcripion Donald Trump’s Speech From Internet, Reading transcript Donald Trump’s Speech, Underlining the speech acts found in Script Donald Trump’s Speech, Analyzing the meaning of each speech act that found. Identifying each types of Speech Act. The data were analyzed in some steps, Classifying the data on the types of speech acts, Describing the data on the types of speech acts, calculating the percentage of the types of speech acts, Drawing the conclusion of the data. The finding showed the occurrences four types of speech act in Donald Trump’s Speech in the Presidential Candidacy, they were 213 assertive or 77.8%, 9 directive or 3.2%, 51 commisive or 18.5%, 2 expressive or 0.72%, the reasons of performing speech acts viewed from the context of situation included making his speech attractive, giving an emphasis on a certain issue, showing optimism, buiding rapport to the audience, showing his seriousness to the audience that could bring america into better nation, and showing his dislike to muslim
