dc.description.abstractThis research deals with conversational implicature in all utterances Hotel Transylvania 2 movie script. The objectives of the research were to describe the types of the conversational implicature found “Hotel Transylvania 2” movie script, to find out the dominant type can be found in “Hotel Transylvania 2” movie script. This research was conducted by using qualitative research. They were four types of conversational implicature namely (1) maxim of quality, (2) maxim of quantity, (3) maxim of relation, (4) maxim of manner. The data were the conversational utterances in 66 pages of hotel transylvania 2 movie script. The findings of this study showed that all types of conversational implicature are used and can be found on the conversational implicature in the movie script of Hotel Translyvania 2. The total number of conversational implicature is 29 (12 occurences of maxim of quality, 7 occurance of maxim of quantity, 6 occurance of maxim of relation, 4 occurance of maxim of manner). Based on the conclusion, the amount of the most dominant types of conversational implicature in the movie script of hotel transylvania 2 were maxim of quality that is 12 utterances containing conversational implicature.en_US
