Abstract: This research deals with students’ perception of plagiarism at FKIP UMSU. The objective of this research is toknow the students’ perception about plagiarism. The population of this research was 40 students. Snowball sampling technique was applyed to get the sample of this resarch. Design of research used of this study was descriptive quantitative design. In this study the researcher collected the data by using interview that consist of six questions. In analyzing the data, the writer used some steps, that was arrangingthe important point about the students’ answer about perception of plagiarism, comparing the students’ answer from one students’ to another students’ answer, processing the data become simple description that focus on the perception of plagiarism and concluding the result of observation. Research results shows that most of the students’ knew about what plagiarism is, it can be seen from their answer about first question. Most of the students’ knew why is plagiarism inappropriate, although their answer was different, but they were knew that the plagiarism was a bad action and according their answer, plagiarism can make them lazy and make them as a bad character. It can be concluded that the students’ perception about plagiarism is good perception, because from question 1 to question 6 the students can answer the questions and easy to understand their answer
