dc.description.abstractThe aims of this study are to find out types of lexical collocation in the novel of Richard Parish entitled nothing but the Truth. This research is conducted by using descriptive qualitative. The data are the phrases of Richard Parish‟s novel Nothing but the Truth. The data are analyzed using McCarthy and O‟Dell‟s Theory (2005) to find out the type of lexical collocation. The results of yhis study are: (1) found out the types of lexical collocations, namely: adjective and noun, noun and verb, noun and noun, verb and expression with preposition, verb and adverb and adverb and adjective. (2)found the dominant lexical collocation. In this study noun and verb or verb and noun are mostly found out especially in phrase. There are 41 (41%) noun and verb or verb and noun are found in the novel.en_US
