dc.description.abstract | This research dealt with gender argument on Anies Baswedan’s instagram. It was aimed at investigating types of gender argument on Anies Baswedan’s instagram and factors of argument on Anies Baswedan’s instagram. This research was conducted by using qualitative descriptive research. The source of data was script of Argument on Anies Baswedan’s instagram about inauguration of governor DKI Jakarta. There were 88 gender arguments found in Anies’s Instagram, namely arguing, quarrelling, and gossiping. It consist of 21 (28.87%) for gossiping included of 13 male and 8 female, 34 (38.63%) for arguing included of 14 female and 20 male, and 33 (37.50%) for quarrelling included of 16 female and 17 male. The most dominant of argument used by gender in Anies’s Instagram was arguing. It means that male and female have same strong in giving argument especially in inauguration of governor. The different social status is not the factor underlying male and female make arguments. Male and female have same strong in giving argument which aimed to keep establishing and maintain their opinion, ideas, and interaction in giving argument.
