dc.description.abstractThis study dealt with an analysis of cohesion in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Ugly Truth. The objectives of this study were to find out the types of grammatical cohesion used in Diary of a Wimpy Kid and derive the dominant type of grammatical cohesion in the students’ writing. Descriptive qualitative method was applied to analyze the data . Beside of in this analysis there was several types the total number of cohesive devices of grammatical cohesion were 35occurences. They consist of Reference (10), Ellipsis (7), Substitutions (6), Conjunction (12). the dominant types of grammatical cohesion in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Ugly Truth was conjunction (12occurences)en_US
