dc.description.abstractThis study deals with the Effect of Applying CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) Technique on the Students' Writing Ability in Narrative Text. The objectives of the study is to find out the effect of using CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) to the students’ writing ability in narrative text. This research was conducted in the SMA Al Hidayah level of second class academic year 2017/2018 at Jl. Letda Sujono Medan. The reason for choosing the school is the school has fulfilled all the qualification for conducting research. The research aims to encourage and give the knowledge for the students. Therefore, many students are weak in writing. The calculation shows that tobserved (calculated) has got higher score than t-table. It means that there is significant effect between writing narrative by applying CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) technique. The students who wrote narrative text by applying CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) of learning, easy understanding the subject, more active and interesting in teaching learning process because they connect to what they study in their history. From the data obtained it may conclude that the students problem in writing narrative text indicators in vocabulary. It means that Ha is accepted. “there is a significant effect of applying CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) on the students ability to write narrative”.en_US
