dc.description.abstractThis study deals with the stylistic feature in the Jakarta Post. It aimed to investigate the types of stylistic features and to analysis the process of stylistic features realized in the Jakarta post. This study was conducted by applying qualitative research. The source of data was the script of the Jakarta Post edition 28 November 2017 VOL .35 NO.176. Data were analyzed sentences by sentences which contained types of stylistic features are found in the jakarta post newspaper. For collecting data instrument in this research was document. The result showed that there were 50 data found in the Jakarta post newspaper. Specifically 19 (38%) for Personification, 7 (14%) for Simile, 24 (48%) for Metonymy. The most dominant types of stylistic features was Metonymy. Its mean that journalist created the situation and condition best on the fact and the language style used by journalist in newspaper explicitly which can be understand by readers clearly and brieflyen_US
