Rubber plants come from Latin, namely Havea brasiliensis from Brazil. This plant is the main source of the world's natural rubber plants. In order for natural rubber to have a high economic value, natural rubber is modified. Cyclic natural rubber is one form of natural rubber modified by heating using an acid catalyst. Which aims to be able to change the characteristics or properties of natural rubber better. This research is a laboratory experiment to produce new material. Then determine the amount of Maleic Anhydride grafted on cyclic natural rubber. There is addition of Maleic Anhydride with various concentrations: 2, 4, 8, 16 phr. The degree of grafting is determined by the titration method using NaOH. In addition to increasing the degree of grafting, comonomer divinil benzen is added with variations: 0.5, 1 and 2 mol ratios. From the results of this study, with the addition of Divinil Benzen the degree of transplantation had a higher increase compared to without using a comonomer.en_US
