Abstract

This research deals with studying code mixing on Maudy Ayunda’s video Youtube channel. The data of this research is transcription of videos. By using qualitative descriptive methods. From the results of this study, it was found that there are three types of code mixing including insertion, alternation and congruent lexicalization. There are 78 datas analyzed through the application of Miles and Huberman theory, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show there are 25 insertion, 50 alternation and 3 congruent lexicalization totals 78 datas type of code mixing. For the reasons there are 5 speaker and partner speaking, 11 situation, 40 vocabulary, 22 prestige and totals 78 datas reasons of code mixing. It was expected that this research helps everyone who wants to know about bilingualism and code mixing
