Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of fiber orientation and massa fraction of ijuk fibers on the static compressive strength of epoxy resin-based composites. Ijuk fibers, derived from the Arenga tree, were chosen for their durability, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness. The study employed two fiber orientations, continuous and random, and three fiber-resin massa fractions: 40:60, 50:50, and 70:30. Testing was conducted according to ASTM D790 standards using a Universal Testing Machine. The results showed that composites with continuous fiber orientation and a 70% fiber massa fraction exhibited the highest static compressive strength, with an average value of 98.91 MPa. Conversely, random fiber orientation with a 40% fiber massa fraction showed the lowest compressive strength. This indicates that a well-ordered fiber orientation and high fiber massa fraction significantly enhance composite strength. Therefore, the use of ijuk fibers in continuous orientation and high massa fractions can be optimized for applications requiring materials with high compressive strength, such as in the automotive and construction industries.
