dc.description.abstractConcrete is a construction material consisting of a mixture of coarse aggregate (gravel) and fine aggregate (sand) as a filler, as well as cement and water as a binder. The current application of concrete is very wide for various construction works such as high-rise buildings, bridges, dams, etc. As a construction material, concrete has several weaknesses, such as being brittle and having a tensile strength that is very small compared to its compressive strength. The tensile strength of concrete is only approximately 10% of its compressive strength. Many previous studies added natural or artificial additives to improve the tensile strength of concrete. The aim of this research is to find out how much influence the split tensile strength value has on concrete with the added material variations SB (Bamboo Fiber) 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and the addition of an additive (sikament NN). However, the results of this research experienced a decline because bamboo fiber apparently could not increase the value of the tensile strength of concrete, this is because the strength of bamboo fiber is not as good as crushed stone. The highest value in this variation is found in concrete with a variation of 0.5% with an average value of - average 1,896 MPa For testing bamboo fiber concrete in the same variation, adding sikamentNN as much as 1% of the cement weight experienced an increase, this is because sikamentNN can increase the workability of fresh concrete, the highest value in this variation is found in concrete with a variation of 1% with an average value – average 2,042 MPaen_US
