dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is (1) To find out the types of connotative meaning used in the Bruno Mars's Song Lyrics of Doo-Wops & Hooligans Album and the meaning of them, (2) To explain clearly how the types of connotative meanings used in Bruno Mars' song lyrics in Doo-Wops & Hooligans Album, (3) To describe and conclude the types of connotative meaning dominantly appeared in the Bruno Mars's Song Lyrics of Doo-Wops & Hooligans Album. This research uses content analysis to examine the connotative meaning of Bruno Mars' song lyrics in the Doo-Wops & Hooligans album. This research was conducted in order to find out and to describe the types connotative meaning on Bruno Mars’s song lyrics Doo - Woops & Hooligans Album. The result can be concluded that there are 20 data of Connotative meaning divided into three types: Positive Connotative has 8 data or 49%, Negative Connotative has 8 data or 43%, and Neutral Connotative has 4 data or 8%. So, from all the information above, it can be concluded that the connotative meaning used in the lyrics of Bruno Mars' album "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" has a dominant positive meaning. | en_US |
