Abstract: This research was about directive speech with the title „‟National Teacher Day 2021‟‟ conveyed by Nadiem Makarim in National Teacher Day 2021. It used descriptive qualitative method by using documentation technique The result showed the types of directive speech with the data frequency which was command 1 (5,56%), statement 10 (55,56%), request 1 (5,56%), order 4 (22,22%), advise 1 (5,55% ) and suggestion 1 (5,55%). Nadiem Makarim applied directive speech because he hoped that teachers could apply what he suggested (command, request, order, statement, advise and suggestion) so that they were able to instill a sense of nationalims in educating the nation generation.
