Abstract

The purpose of this research is to descibes types of conflict found in the main character of “Dolittle” movie, to describes the dominanttype of conflict found in the “Dolittle” movie to find out the plot in “Dolittle” movie, This research uses descriptive research, To this research, the data were taken from the Stephen Gaghan’s film “Dolittle”. The movie becomes the main source of the data especially from the main character in the movie, The data collection techniques used are documentation was obtained from watching the dolittle film and recording every conflict that occurred throughout the film, in this research Technique of Analyzing Data is data reduction, data display and Drawing and Verfying Conclusion, The result of this research are,The main conflict experienced by Dr. Dolittle is an internal conflict, it all started when his wife died, Dolittle became an anti-social person and no longer wanted to have anything to do with humans and preferred to be friends with his animals, An external conflict begins when Dolittle is asked to treat the sick queen, so Dolittle must accept the request so that her residence is not taken over, Gradually the conflict in the character is resolved and Dolittle becomes a better person and doesn't see her past anymore
