dc.description.abstractThis research was attempted to investigate learning pronunciation by using tongue twisters technique. The objective of this study was to investigate The Effect of Applying Tongue Twisters Technique on Students’ English Consonant Pronunciation. This research has been conducted at SMP SWASTA SUTAN OLOAN MEDAN, Jalan H. Sutan Oloan No.1 Pondok Surya Medan. It was applied by using experimental research. The population of this research were the eight grade classess in academic year 2017/2018 which consisted of one class, there was 25 students and all of the students’ were taken as the sample. They were 25 students’ from class VIII as experimental group which taught by applying Tongue twisters technique. The Instrument for collecting data in this research was oral test students were asked to the words. Which was use pre-test and post-test. The test was divided in two sessions, the first was pre-test before treatment. The second was post-test after the treatment. The result of this research showed that tobserved (4,899) value was higher than ttable in which tobserve > ttable ( 4,899 > 2,06 ). The finding showed that the hypothesis was accepted. It means that there was a significant Effect of Applying Tongue Twisters Technique on Students’ English Consonant pronunciationen_US
