Prevalensi Pasien Hipertensi Dengan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di Rsu Haji Medan Tahun 2015

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is an increase of sistolic blood pressure which more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure which more than 90 mmHg that is caused by an increase of blood volume or blood vessel elasticity. Diabetes mellitus is a disease or metabolic syndrome which is chronic with multi etiology marked by high blood sugar levels and metabolic syndrome. Purpose: The research proposes to understand the prevalence of hypertension patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in RSU Haji Medan in 2015. Methods: The type of research is descriptive research using secondary data. The population is the whole hypertension patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus which is recorded in medical records of RSU Haji Medan in 2015. Result: The results obtained for the sex of most patients are woman as much as 114 patients (62,6%) and most patient by age group is 40-60 years old (52,2%). Conclusion: Hypertension patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in RSU Haji Medan in 2015 is mostly woman, with the age of 40-60 years old.
