dc.description.abstract Introduction: Soil Transmitted Helminths is an intestinal nematodes transmitted through soil. STH infections are often found in children on the age of primary school, which they are often contact directly with soil. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between children's knowledge about infectious intestinal worms with the level of soil contamination by STH in Bandar Klippa Percut Sei Tuan. Methods: This study conducted the design cross-sectional with 111 respondents of data retrieved by administering a questionnaire and examination of land by the method of centrifugal-flotation Magnesium Sulfate. Discussion: The level of knowledge of children who have an unfavorable knowledge of 62 people (55.9%) and no children have good knowledge. Based on 46 samples of examined soil, the level of contamination by STH at 54.3%. the percentage of Ascaris lumbricoides is the highest in term of contaminate level the soil yard of a house in the Bandar Klippa. Relation level of knowledge of children with soil contamination level indicates the value of p>0.05. Conclusion: There is no relation between the level knowledge with the level of soil contamination in the Bandar Klippa Percut Sei Tuan. en_US
