dc.description.abstract The current storage system still uses a conventional lock using a security system, so it is less efficient to store goods because there are too many keys to carry, besides that conventional locks are easily opened by thieves. So that a more practical and efficient key is needed, from this problem the writer has an idea to produce a safe and practical RFID-based storage device by utilizing e-KTP as an RFID tag as a security for storing goods. The design and build of safety for storage of goods using the ATmega328 microcontroller as a circuit controller. This study uses the Research and Development method, which is a method that aims to produce or develop certain products. This method is applied to research procedures, starting from potentials and problems, gathering information, designing tools, validating designs, making tools, testing tools, collecting data and analyzing data. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the simulation of goods storage using E-KTP can operate properly, according to the design made. The RFID reader used has a frequency of 13.56MHz which is placed in a box with a thickness of 2mm and can read e-KTP ID with a maximum distance of 1.8cm. Solenoid can unlock the door if the e-KTP ID matches the ATmega328 microcontroller memory, the solenoid will lock again if the E-KTP is taken, the E-KTP en_US
