dc.description.abstract The cognitive aspect is one aspect that needs to be developed in the study. It contains the cognitive abilities of sense, mind, and others such as religious values, morals, language, social and emotional. Based on the experience of researchers for teaching in RA Bungong Seulanga Selotong Village district. Secanggang, there are still many students who have not been able to think symbolically, egocentric and intuitive that affect cognitive ability. One way to increase students' cognitive abilities is to use electronic media, for students to be fully involved in learning, teachers are no longer focused using the classical, so learning more student-centered, active learning, and teachers will be motivated in learning to be more varied and creative in order to improve the morale of students in learning. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with the formulation of the problem in this study is whether the improvement in cognitive abilities of students through electronic media in RA Bungong Seulanga Selotong Village district. Secanggang Kab. Langkat works so well? The subjects were students in grade RA Bungong Seulanga Selotong Village district. Secanggang Kab. Langkat the Academic Year 2016-2017. This research is a collaboration between researchers, teachers and principals. Research procedures conducted using qualitative and quantitative approaches to obtain data through observation and analysis of interviews and documentation. The research was carried through three cycles are designed to systematically with how many phases including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study concluded that; prasiklus cognitive ability and the electronic media began to grow on average by 48.33%, cycle 1 cognitive ability and the electronic media began to grow at an average of 57.67%, cycle 2 cognitive ability and the electronic media are evolving as expected average amounting to 60.67%, and 3 cycles of cognitive ability and the electronic media are evolving as expected on average by 80%. Based on the survey results revealed that an increase in cognitive abilities in students RA Bungong Seulanga Selotong Village district. Secanggang Kab. Langkat has managed to score an average of 80%. en_US
